Introduction

This user guide describes how to register your personal Android Device to the Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform. This will include downloading and installing the Intune Company Portal app from the Play Store and signing in to your work account.

System Requirements

• Android device with Android version 10.0 or higher
• Internet connection (4G/5G or WiFi)
• Google Account to access Play Store

Process

Steps shown below have been completed on a Samsung device with Android 13, your steps may vary slightly depending on your device and Android version.

1. From your homescreen or app drawer, open the Play Store app.
2. Tap 'Sign in' to sign in to the Google Play Store. If you are already signed in, please skip to step 5.
3. Enter your Google account email and tap 'Next'. Then enter your Google account password.
4. Accept the Terms and Conditions by tapping 'I Agree'
5. Tap on the search bar at the top.
6. Enter Intune in the search. Select the search result 'intune company portal app'
7. Tap on 'Install' next to the Intune Company Portal app as shown. Once the app has completed installing, tap on 'Open'
8. Upon opening, tap on 'Allow' for notifications.
9. Tap on 'Sign In' to begin
10. Enter your full work email address, then tap on 'Next'.
11. Enter your network password and select 'Sign in'
12. Verify your sign in using your MFA method (e.g. Authenticator app or SMS). If you encounter any issues with this step, please contact IT.
13. Tap on 'Begin'
14. Tap on 'Continue'
15. Tap on 'Agree'
16. Tap on 'Next'
17. Tap on 'Continue'
18. Tap on 'Done'
19. Tap on 'Got It'
20.  This Company Portal app will display your devices and compliance status. You can now return to your home screen.
21. From your homescreen, swipe up to access the app drawer. In your app drawer, you will now have a Work Profile section which displays your work related apps. You can now signin to Outlook, Teams and other work apps.
22. To install optional work apps that have been assigned to you for your role, tap on the 'Play Store' (within your work profile). Your additional work apps will be listed here, tap on the icon then tap on Install.
