Introduction
This user guide describes how to register an Apple mobile device to the Mobile Device Management Platform. This will include downloading and installing the Microsoft Intune Company Portal app via the App Store and signing in.
System Requirements
- Apple device with iOS 15 or higher
- Apple ID
- Reliable internet connection (4G/5G or Wi-Fi)
- Disable Apple's consumer feature 'Stolen Device Protection'. On the iPhone within Settings -> Face ID & Passcode -> Stolen Device Protection -> Toggle to 'Off'. There will be a requirement to wait for the 60-minute timer to complete and once completed, ensure that 'Stolen Device Protection' is definitely 'Off'. Then, proceed with the enrolment steps below. Please note, if 'Stolen Device Protection' is already 'OFF' please continue with the enrolment. Once, the enrolment is completed, the feature can be turned 'On' again. 1. Tap on the 'App Store' icon from your home screen. | |
2. Tap on the 'Search' button in the bottom navigation bar. | |
3. Search for 'Intune' and tap on 'Intune company portal' in the results. | |
4. Tap on 'Get'. If you are signed into your Apple ID, proceed to step 6. | |
5. Enter your Apple ID (email) and select 'Sign In' | |
6. Tap on 'Install' to confirm the app install. | |
7. Once the app has installed, tap on 'Open' | |
8. Tap on 'Sign in' | |
9. Enter your full email address and tap on 'Next'. | |
10. Enter your network password and select 'Sign in'. You may need to verify your sign in with MFA (e.g. SMS code, Authenticator app) | |
11. Tap on 'Ok'. | |
12. Tap on 'Allow'. The app will now load resources and may take a moment to progress. | |
13. Once it has redirected to this screen, tap on 'Begin'. | |
14. Tap on 'Continue'. | |

16. Allow the page to load and once the prompt appears, tap on 'Allow'. | |
17. Once the profile has downloaded, tap on 'Close'. | |
18. Navigate to your home screen and open the 'Settings' app. | |
19. Tap on 'Profile Downloaded'. | |
20. Tap on 'Install'. | |
21. Tap on 'Install' | |
22. Tap on 'Install' once more. | |
23. Tap on 'Trust'. | |
24. Tap on 'Done'. | |
25. Navigate back to the Company Portal app and tap 'Continue'. | |
26. Tap on 'Continue'. You may be prompted to allow Company Portal to install and manage MS Outlook and Teams. Tap 'Install'. | |
27. Tap on 'Done'. | |
28. Your device is now enrolled and can access corporate resources. Additional work apps can be found and installed from this screen. You can now exit the Comp Portal app. | |
29. Microsoft Outlook and Teams will start to install automatically. Depending on your settings, you may need to tap on each app to initiate the install over mobile data. | |
30. To access Outlook or Teams, tap on the icon after it has installed. Your work email account should be detected automatically, then tap 'Add Account'. |
